Hyphen
I worked closely with the Asian American Students Association's Vice President to come up with a vision and execute the design for the first-ever state-wide AAPI formal called Hyphen. The theme of 'Hyphen' emphasizes the hybridity of the Asian American identity. The design is largely influenced by the Bauhaus design style. We decided to use this art direction and primary color scheme for its modernity and versatility.
Here are the progress pictures of the design, showing the initial sketching stages of my design process to a later iteration of the design.
For the event, I designed a horizontal foldable program. I kept the primary color scheme to maintain a cohesive theme.
