Asian American Students Association
As the Design Chair for the Asian American Students Association over the course of 2 years, I designed numerous social media graphics for various events.
These graphics were made to publicize participation in the production of a docuseries led by Eve Golecruz in partnership with North Carolina Asian Americans Together (NCAAT). The 4-part docuseries will highlight the diversity of the Asian experience in North Carolina and will explore one of NCAAT’s focus areas: civic engagement, health access, ethnic studies, racial justice, immigration, democracy reform, and climate justice.
I collaborated with the Historian to create a graphic series called "Today in Asian American History," which aimed to inform others about significant Asian American historical events that are often glazed over when discussing US history. We posted 11 events over the course of a semester.
I worked with UNC Kasama's (the Filipino American student organization) Design Chair to create a series of graphics highlighting Filipino American history, an often overlooked part of Asian American history, during the month of October, which is Filipino American history month.
I created a series of graphics for the 2020 primaries, encouraging students to exercise this right to vote and including a section explaining why Asian Americans specifically are a vital voting bloc.
I designed 19 executive board feature posts, highlighting each board member and their positions. Here are a portion of them. Photos were taken by the Publicity Chair.
I designed stickers, hats, and various T-shirt designs.
